Peter Femino

Co-Founder
With 15 years of experience in the coffee industry, including the involvement in a previous start-up coffee company with multiple locations in the Boston and metro-west areas, Peter Femino used that knowledge to share in the conceptual planning of Boston Common Coffee Co.. A former landscape architect, Peter uses his design and construction background to design and oversee the build-outs of all Boston Common locations.

Anthony Massari

Co-Founder
Anthony came to Boston Common Coffee Co. from 8 years in the mutual fund industry. He used his strong financial management background to secure the foundation during the lean years of Boston Common Coffee Co. Now, the Chief Financial Officer, Anthony maintains the fiscal balance between strategic growth and financial security of the company while operating the original cafe in Boston’s Historic North End.

Patrick Maloney

Roastmaster

Our Roastmaster, Patrick Maloney, began his specialty coffee career in 2004 as an apprentice roaster at a New England based specialty coffee company under the mentorship of William Trull, a 30-year industry veteran. In 2009 Patrick became the Roastmaster for Boston Common Coffee Co. overseeing the build out of both our original roasting facility as well as our newly constructed 4,500sqft facility.

As the Director of Specialty Coffee Operations as well as our green coffee buyer, Patrick is driven by the desire to find the “perfect cup” of specialty coffee for our customers. Through his close relationships with most reputable Green Coffee Importers in the United States, he is able to source and roast the best arabica coffee available, including Cup of Excellence coffees, rare single-origin varietals and create signature blends.

Over the past several years, Patrick has roasted coffee for the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA.org) trade show, participated in several Cup of Excellence cuppings and auctions in New York. Patrick recently traveled to Costa Rica where he spent five days at the La Minita Farm, meeting with coffee growers and producers – the people Patrick believes truly deserves the credit for the coffee we serve our customers every day.
