In 2010 Boston Common Coffee Co. overhauled its in-house baking philosophy with the hiring of Julius Johnson and Elyse Dalal. Both came in with distinguished baking backgrounds and a shared concept of baking more often but in smaller batches to keep the products fresh as well as allowing us to offer a more diverse selection. With this new direction Boston Common took another leap forward in establishing the vision that was set in our early years. As an owner I have never seen two employees who complement each other they way these two do. Long time employee Krystyna Wiercinska continues to carry the bulk of the cooking load for all locations, supplying the cafes with such items as our signature granola, sauces, dressings and side salads.
